5,000 Square Feet
Completed In 2021
The Project consists of the design and construction of a new Empire Community Library and associated site work and parking. This single-story building is 4,731 square feet. It houses; library stacks & reading areas for adults, teens, and children, an office, break room, storage, staff, and public restrooms, A notable feature is the inclusion of a community room that opens up to a covered gathering space for the community. Furthermore, the library incorporates a separate sheriff’s office, which operates independently from the library itself.
To create an inviting entry, the library design incorporates expansive glass and an upward-sloping roof. The interior spaces are adorned with vibrant colors to create a playful and creative atmosphere. Situated in close proximity to the community park and pool, the new library serves as a community anchor that residents can be proud of for years to come. As an additional option, there is an Additive Alternate plan for a community garden that acts as a bridge between the covered community area and the existing community park.
