LDA was presented with a challenge to design a new branch bank within an existing building shell built as part of a larger retail development. LDA studied multiple options to develop a successful solution to incorporate additional drive-up teller stations, expanded customer parking, appropriate vehicular site circulation, and meet the City of Oakley’s design guidelines.
The interior of the building presented interesting challenges as well. Based upon the configuration of the building, LDA was to develop a teller line design that did not project deep into the interior space. The solution was to create a customer friendly, circular teller line design that allowed the public lobby to be incorporated into the circular space, while still allowing for administrative areas and a training room behind the teller seating.
